what are the chances of becoming a disney/ family channel star?
Many young kids dream of becoming actors and starring in their own Disney Channel series. The reality of this happening is slim, and desire alone won't land them a role. If you have a kid who wants to become a Disney Channel star, consider these steps to help her achieve her dream.
Enroll your kid in theater classes that will help her develop the confidence and self-esteem needed to perform in front of a large audience. Not only will theater classes help your kid learn to act, they may assist her with singing and dancing as well.
2
Team up with an acting scout who can help you find an agent in the industry. Parents need to be diligent about finding reputable scouts to avoid scams. Ask for referrals from trusted individuals such as other parents with child actors or acting teachers and coaches.
3
Look for announcements from the Disney Channel about upcoming auditions and casting calls. Major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Orlando and San Francisco often host auditions so you must be willing to travel if you don't live in those locations.
4
Do your homework and prepare for the audition. Not only are talent scouts and producers looking for a specific type of talent, they are also looking for kids who arrive at the audition with the necessary paperwork and prepared pieces.
What are some global tourism patterns in europe, asia, and africa?
Thats all i know:
urope - 54% Europe's an unsurprising top dog, given the ease of crossing borders (only cross-border tourism is counted in the statistics, and it's various cultural and leisure attractions. America would no doubt sit much closer, though, should domestic tourism be included. South and West Europe still dominate over the North and East, through a combination of the notoriety of culture and cultural attractions, and (in the case of the south) and abundance of sunshine. The breakdown is as follows: Southern Europe - 19%, Western Europe - 18%, Central and Eastern Europe - 11%, Northern Europe - 6% of the world market.
Asia and the Pacific - 20% Surprisingly, Asia's tourism figures are headed by the North East, with the likes of China statistically far more popular than the South East, a much-hyped tourist destination. Unlike Europe, Asia's statistics are probably more along the lines of what we'd traditionally see as travel: more long haul trips, and less weekend city-breaks and quick bordering hopping holidays. China, Japan and the big South East destinations such as Thailand, Viet Nam, Malaysia and Singapore lead the way. Australia and New Zealand make up a surprisingly tiny percentage, perhaps because of their relative isolation. Here's the breakdown: North East Asia - 11%, South East Asia - 7%, Oceania - 1%, South Asia - 1% of the world market.
Americas - 16% With their travel stats no doubt stunted by the abundance of domestic travel, the America's fall behind despite the US attracting an abundance of international visitors to cities like New York and Los Angeles. South America, despite it's undying popularity amongst backpackers, grabs only a tiny fraction of the international stats in their entirety, and is even very slightly outnumbered by the Caribbean. The stats are as follows: North America - 11%, Caribbean - 2%, South America - 2%, Central America - 1% of the world market.
Africa - 5% Africa's a growing market in terms of tourism, especially given the vast input of the recent World Cup - the numbers alone might be a relative blip on the map, but the promotion couldn't be much better across the globe. The more accessible Africa becomes, and the more its sights are promoted, the more we can expect to see Africa to grow. Still, tourism dramatically outdoes South America, which is pretty impressive in its own rights. Only a quick breakdown in this one: Sub-Saharan Africa - 3%, North Africa - 2% of the total.
Middle East - 5% A much-promoted off the beaten track destination on TravBuddy, the Middle East's tourism statistics are helped significantly by the likes of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Sights like Iran, however, remain the gems, if our community is to be believed. Being a match for the whole of Africa and surpassing South America by more than double is an impressive total.
