The N|Vision 2030 Project/Thincspace KedgeForward is seeking donations for a project that we are starting in June 2010 called "N|Vision 2030." The costs include filming equipment for the documentary that we will be producing about the entire project, art supplies for the public installation being created by the youth at "All Walks of Life," and funds to cover out involvement in a creative co-working environment called Thincspace in downtown Savannah, Georgia. In this project, we will be working with "at-risk" youth in order to empower their lives toward greater goals and passions, while planting the seeds for change within our cities over the next 20 years. We will be partnering with a local non-profit organization called "All Walks of Life" (AWOL) that provides arts and technology education for at-risk youth. . AWOL's main goal is to successfully develop youth in an environment that encourages respect, education, creativity and most of all non-violence. AWOL will provide us with 15-20 of their students to make the project a reality, and KedgeForward will be teaching these students Strategic Foresight and Futures Studies literacies and methods for 5 weeks (All of June and the 1st Week of July) so that they will gain incredible insight into how poverty, crime, education, city policy, demographics, employment, housing, economics, etc. are connected, and why our cities and their citizens (in this instance, Savannah) are in the shape they are presently in.
